Circumstances drive the requirements. They have always been unavoidable. The diplomatic actions of our current government have shortened our time. The depth of this problem is beyond our imagination at the moment. The costs will be tragic to Canada’s other needs. We may some day be able to ascribe a fantastic dollar cost to this. To poor governance and foolish diplomacy.

Thank you for your excellent article on what needs to be done for the defence of Canada. Canadians , unfortunately , have never taken the last step to actually accomplishing a true defence policy. They’re afraid that they might have to give up some of their “freebies” to do so.
