Good article, but very concerning it took a foreign government to convince Trudeau to commit to change that was always in Canada’s best interest. Thanks for having a comment section. It’s so frustrating to read about issues but have no right to expect my opinion should be heard.
Canadians already rejected you for your right wing philosophy of giving tax breaks to the really rich and ignoring climate change....which most likely will be the biggest cost to our economy in the future. Did you use taxpayer dollars to help pay for your children to go to private schools? I know Mr. Scheer did exactly that.
This is for serious comments Tom. If you were serious you would know that in 2021 I dedicated most of our relief to lower income working Canadians through massive increases to the Canada Worker Benefit - it would be helping with inflation pressures now. Our climate plan was serious and independently verified. Have a great day.
What will the Supreme Court say though? They have a veto over everything that matters in Canada and they are infamous for being "unpredictable" to put it charitably.
The SCC will likely support the ability for the federal government to bring in regulation like C-69, but should address failures in how it was done on areas of joint jurisdiction. That is my guess. Check out my next podcast for a discussion on that.
So, in other words, the government realizes it made a mistake (although it is reluctant to say this out loud) and it is putting additional funding to address the mistake. Sounds like a good budget to me. I assume you will be voting in favour of the budget?
It's almost as if Freeland heard PP's ideas on his leadership trail and is now trying to 'head him off at the pass'. To be clear, batteries = dumb esp with this recent VW deal at $8B; nuclear = brilliant
👍
Fabulous piece

Glad to hear your thoughts again, Erin.
Wise as always.

Awesome non sequiter. Erin is literally talking about development of projects to mitigate climate change but sure, class envy.

Will do. How it addresses failures though will be the question.
it's funny how much effort you put into these for so little engagement haha
this should have an order of magnitude more engagement. Fire your comms director and hire me instead
I do this simply to add serious discussion to the debate and to get things off my chest...
I noticed your writing a long while back, but it sometimes strayed from my arcs of fire. It will steady out in the future I hope.

Your mother was correct.
